Google reviews feature privacy policy

This policy applies to the Google rating and review-count feature on Vernon Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical Services’s Home Rebate Checker and Dual-Fuel Rebate Pre-Check. The Google Privacy Policy is incorporated into this feature privacy policy. Vernon Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical Services’s general privacy policy applies to other website and enquiry services.

When this feature is enabled, our server asks Google for Vernon Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical Services’s rating, review count, Google listing link and required data-provider attribution. This request uses our server’s network address. It does not send your checker answers, contact details or your network address to Google. We do not retain or cache the returned rating and review count.

To protect the service from abuse, we temporarily retain keyed hashes of network-address request buckets and request counts until their expiry, at most two hours after the request, followed by the next five-minute maintenance run. Cleanup continues while ratings are disabled or the monthly limit is reached. Service downtime can delay cleanup. These buckets are not linked to enquiries. Separate monthly totals track service usage without network addresses or rating data. Ordinary hosting security logs may also apply under our general privacy policy.
